EMRA Appoints Hani Masgidi as General Secretary

EMRA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hani Masgidi as General Secretary. Mr. Masgidi joins EMRA as a seasoned music industry veteran, bringing extensive experience in the administration of music rights and a deep understanding of how creators, rightsholders and music users work together within the sector.

Mr. Masgidi will oversee the Association’s day-to-day operations and lead its engagement with rights holders, music users, government entities and international partners as EMRA advances its work on behalf of creators and rights holders. His appointment strengthens EMRA’s operational leadership at a pivotal moment, ahead of the commencement of its licensing and collection activities.

With responsibility for coordinating the Association’s relationships with members and partners, alongside its ties to regional and international bodies, Mr. Masgidi’s leadership will play a central part in establishing EMRA as a transparent and internationally connected home for arts and music rights in the United Arab Emirates.
